Altar method

Put the tea leaves in a jar and put them in a cool and ventilated place for a long time.

The jars used are traditional clay jars, ceramic jars, clay (zisha) jars, etc., preferably covered. Take out the tea leaves and place them on white paper. The white paper is best to choose decomposable white paper, such as straw paper or corn paper. Divide the tea leaves into small packets, each not exceeding 0.5 kg, and wrap a layer of kraft paper on the outside and use a rope After binding, put them into the jars one by one. Put a desiccant around the tea leaves, such as dry charcoal, quicklime or silica gel. Seal the mouth of the jar well and place it in a dry and ventilated place.

The surface of the jar should be covered with a layer of air-permeable paper, and the storage amount, time and each cleaning of the tea should be marked at the same time. It is best to store only one kind of tea in the same jar, so as to avoid the scent between the tea leaves.

Dry charcoal and quicklime should be placed in a homespun or non-woven bag, tied up and placed stably. The ratio of dry charcoal, quicklime and tea leaves is 1:1:5, and the water absorption of silica gel is stronger, so the placing ratio is 1:10. The desiccant should be changed every 3 months. When the used silica gel is exposed to the sun and the color changes from blue to white, it can be used again.

Pocket method

The bag storage method is an economical way of storing tea.

The bag storage method should choose a plastic bag with a relatively thick pocket material and a certain degree of transparency.

Professional tea storage bags are brown and can be protected from light. Generally thick food bags can store tea leaves, so be careful not to use broken plastic bags.

If you put the tea in a professional tea storage bag, you only need to seal it and put a label on it. The label indicates the amount and time of tea storage.

If you use a transparent plastic bag, you should wrap the tea leaves with oil paper or cotton paper to avoid direct sunlight.

If you use a thinner plastic bag to pack the tea, you can squeeze out the air after packing, then use an iron ruler to catch the plastic bag and bake it slightly on the fire to help the plastic bag seal well.

Cold storage

Put the tea leaves in the refrigerator to keep the aroma and flavor of the tea leaves better. To refrigerate in a refrigerator or freezer, you should put tea leaves in iron cans, glass jars or stainless steel jars, and put the jars in plastic bags or storage bins. Different tea leaves can be stored in different jars.

If a plastic bag is used, it can be sealed on fire, or a thicker bag can be tied. After sorting and placing, affix a label indicating the amount and time of tea storage. Store the tea in the refrigerator, and the temperature should not be too low. It is best to store tea separately in a drawer, and not to mix with fruits and vegetables.

If the amount of tea is large, you can choose a separate freezer for storage.

Bottle method

Using bottles to store tea leaves can also preserve tea well.

The bottle to choose is preferably glass or stainless steel. The vacuum flask needs to be dried and sterilized in the sun. The glass should be clean and transparent with a wooden lid. The inside of the all-glass lid is sealed by a plastic cushion. The plastic may age and cause air leakage.

Glass bottles can be brown or colorless food glass bottles. After the tea leaves are put in, you need to close the lid tightly, put a plastic bag on the jacket, and affix a label. If you use a transparent glass bottle for storage, you need to put colored paper or kraft paper on the glass outer bread, and tie the paper with a string.
