What is the tea bag that we often drink made of?

1. Silk and sheer cotton yarn
Silk and thin cotton yarn are commonly seen in the early tea bag making process. Silk belongs to protein fiber, mainly composed of amino acids, while thin cotton yarn belongs to plant fiber, mainly composed of macromolecular polysaccharides. Both materials are pure natural, non-toxic, and harmless. Tea bags made of silk and thin cotton yarn have poor sealing and stability, so they are now rarely used.

2. Nylon filter cloth
Nylon, also known as nylon, belongs to the aliphatic polyamide class of chemical fibers. Nylon has excellent wear resistance, tensile strength, and elasticity, and the usage temperature of nylon filter cloth can reach 100 ℃. Food grade nylon filter cloth, colorless, odorless, heat-resistant, and in compliance with national food packaging hygiene standards. Through the transparent high-quality heat-resistant nylon mesh, consumers can intuitively see the tea ingredients inside the tea bag, giving a very intuitive feeling. Nylon has a good shaping effect, and now it is generally made into triangular bags and three-dimensional bags.

3. PET non-woven fabric
PET non-woven fabric is made from polyester fiber and does not produce harmful substances at high temperatures. It is a biodegradable material and is harmless to human health and the environment. The tea bag made of PET non-woven fabric has the characteristics of high transparency and good shaping.

4. PLA polylactic acid fiber
PLA polylactic acid degradable fiber is a Synthetic fiber made from plant starch, which is fermented into lactic acid, then polymerized and spun. This fiber composition is natural, environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and can withstand high temperatures of 130 degrees Celsius. After making it into a tea bag, brewing it with boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius will not have any problems. The common polylactic acid fiber nowadays is mainly corn fiber.

Is it harmful to the human body?

Overall, the tea bags produced by legitimate brands currently use food grade tea bags and do not use inferior materials, making them safe to use.
