As I entered 30+, my awareness of health preservation gradually increased, and I dared not drink milk tea and sweetened beverages casually. However, I am a person who doesn't like to drink boiled water, and I always think of something to soak every time I drink water. If it is delicious and healthy, tea becomes the best choice.
But I'm afraid of trouble, and I don't like to put all kinds of tea sets to drink Kung Fu tea. Teabag is probably the best substitute.
There are a dazzling array of tea bag brands on the market. In order to find delicious and healthy tea bags, I embarked on a "road of no return".
Last month, I stumbled upon the tea bags of the brand of Tashanji with very high appearance. After tasting a few flavors, I found that the quality is also very high.
Recently, I saw that they introduced new flavors, so I decided to start. There are two types of black tea, namely Soochong black tea and Ceylon black tea, as well as jasmine green tea and my favorite white peach oolong.
As a person who is serious and willing to share, I thought that there are other tea bags of similar flavors that I stocked before at home. I decided to do a comparative evaluation to see which one is better and which is healthier.
The first to participate in the PK is the peach oolong in tea and the white peach oolong in Tashanji
Both contestants are triangular foam bags of corn fiber with a net content of 3 grams.
Tea soup: When soaked for 2 minutes, the tea soup of Tashanji is stronger, showing a nice amber color.
Aroma: But the aroma in the tea is stronger.
Entrance: Although the peach oolong in the tea smells more fragrant, the taste of the entrance is that it is better than others, not astringent, and smoother. (I mentioned in the last evaluation that the white peach oolong from Shanji is the best white peach oolong I have ever drunk, and I can even slap Lupicia)
Tips: To judge whether the triangular bubble bag is corn fiber or nylon, it is recommended to look at it twice and touch it three times.
At first glance, look at the gloss of the blister bag, the corn fiber blister bag has a good gloss and the weave is very delicate, the nylon blister bag will be darker and the woven hole spacing is slightly larger.
Second touch, the corn fiber foam bag feels smoother and softer, and the nylon foam bag feels harder.
With three tears, the corn fiber bubble bag is easy to tear, and it is effortless to tear it along the suture, while the nylon bubble bag is not easy to tear.
These two tea bags are easy to tear, and the hand feels smooth, no doubt they are corn fiber foam bags.
However, it can be clearly seen that the morphology of the two tea leaves after brewing is quite obvious. The leaves of the oolong tea in the tea on the left are not very complete and not fully stretched. The Oolong tea industry in the other mountain set on the right is more complete, basically all stretched out.
A closer look at the packaging box shows that the packaging of the two brands comes from the same OEM factory, but the quality of the tea is completely different. Tashanji’s tea bags obviously choose better oolong tea. I think this should be the main reason why Tashanji’s white peach oolong is better.
The second group of contestants are jasmine green tea from Chali and Tashanji.
The same flavored tea bags of these two brands are still from the same OEM factory, but the flavors are still different.
Let's take a look at the tea bags first. There are a lot of broken tea leaves in the tea bag on the left, and the green tea in the tea bag on the right is relatively tight and uniform, and the color is oily dark brown.
Tea soup: The color of the tea soup after brewing is basically the same. The reason for the light yellow color may be that the tea leaves are not new teas that year. Generally, old green tea will appear yellowish after brewing.
Fragrance: The jasmine green tea in the tea on the left doesn't even smell the slightest jasmine fragrance. The fresh jasmine tea fragrance in the air comes from Tashanji on the right.
Entrance: The jasmine green tea in the tea on the left still has no jasmine aroma and is a bit astringent. Although the jasmine green tea from Tashanji on the right smells fragrant, it has a more astringent taste.
Let's take a look at the shape of the tea after two brews. The tea leaves and tea stalks in the tea are bright, while the tea leaves and tea stalks in Tashanji are dark yellow, which may be the reason for the use of old tea.
In summary, neither of these two brands of jasmine green tea taste good.
The next one is the Ceylon black tea from Twinings and Other Hills.
Twinings is a century-old British tea bag brand, and British black tea is also world-renowned. However, British black teas are all shredded tea technology. The advantage of shredding is that it can stimulate the tea polyphenols and various flavors in the tea faster and more. However, the disadvantage is that it cannot be brewed repeatedly. Generally speaking, it only needs to be brewed once. You can discard the bag.
The Ceylon black tea in the Chuanning tea bag on the left is chopped and cut and should be of BOP grade (finely broken tea) visually, and the Ceylon black tea in Tashanji on the right is visually FOP grade and contains part of the whole buds and leaves.
Twinings' tea bags have always been recycled environmentally friendly paper bags, not corn fiber bags.
The low cost of paper bags determines that the overall price of the product will be more affordable. Another reason for using paper bags is that the tea in Western brand tea bags is all shredded tea, especially shredded, close to powder, so it is necessary to use a more dense bubble bag to ensure that the tea will not fall. However, the disadvantage of paper bags is that the water permeability is not good enough, resulting in poor brewing effect.
Popular science: Chopped tea is a Western tea-making process, originated from Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon), not tea powder and leftovers.
Tea soup: The tea soup of Twinings on the left is darker, because the tea bag contains chopped tea, which has more follicles and faster precipitation.
Fragrance: On the left side, Chuanning needs to smell a little bit of black tea. The Ceylon black tea on the right side has a stronger aroma, with the floral and fruity aroma of high mountain black tea.
Entrance: The entrance of Chuanning on the left is the rich black tea flavor. What kind of tea is hardly drunk. It is not bad to make milk tea with this tea bag, but it is slightly weak when you drink it alone. On the right, after the entrance to the other mountain set, it is a bit light, but there is a clear return to sweetness, and the levels are relatively rich.
The last group, Lipton Wenrun Black Tea and Tashanji Huaxiang Souchong.
Lipton is a flavored tea. I don't know what black tea is used, because the ingredient list on the outside of the box simply writes black tea and flavor.
Tashanji uses Souchong black tea from Fujian, and it is original leaf tea.
Tea soup: The color of the tea soup brewed by two tea bags is almost the same, both are bright orange-yellow.
Fragrance: Lipton on the left is almost tasteless, and when you get closer to the mountain on the right, you can smell the tangy natural fragrance, which is very warm and moist.
Entrance: Lipton on the left has astringent mouthfeel with a cheap flavor. The Souchong black tea from Tashanji on the right has a mellow taste without smoky flavor. The aroma of longan spreads from the bottom of the tongue to the whole mouth as soon as the tea soup is swallowed. The aftertaste is very beautiful.
In the end, I just tried to taste the best of today-Huaxiang Souchong, and I forgot to take the "after-bath photo" of the last group of contestants. However, Lipton, like Twinings, is made of paper bags and finely crushed teas, while Tashanji uses corn fiber triangular bubble bags and original leaf tea. After two infusions, the tea leaves are fully unfolded to release the best flavor.
So, what is a good tea bag? There is no uniform standard for this matter.
